On the way to school I asked Laura if she knew how much I love her. She nodded and stretched out her arms and said, "Thisssss much!" I smiled big and agreed with outstretched arms, "Yep, thisssss much."
Then she said, "And daddy loves you thissss much and you love him thissss much." Her little arms were stretching out as far as they could go. And my heart melted.
Grant and I believe that one of the most important gifts we can give Laura is a great marriage. How cool that she knows Grant and I love each other at the same time that we love her. We want to be her first examples on how to love another person.
I pray that one day Laura will love her husband thissss much and he will love her thissss much in return. This agape type of love is a treasured gift from God.

Five Years and Counting
Wow - has it really been five years?
03/03/07 Grant and I were married on a weekend much like this one. Just days before our outdoor wedding horrible weather swept through our area. Thankfully we had connections, oh wait, I was marrying those connections - or the "yard boy" as our preacher called him during the ceremony.
Friday morning before the rehearsal Grant, Kyle and crew were out picking up all the debris. I haven't thought much about those memories until this week when the weather was so familiar leading up to our anniversary.
Thankfully the weather cleared out and didn't slow down the ceremony or party. I am so thankful that God gave me Grant to travel through life with as my husband and best friend. Each year is more special than the one before. I look forward to the next five, fifteen and fifty years with my favorite person in the world.
Happy Anniversary Babe!
